My name is Rachel Kear and I am a multidisciplinary designer. While simultaneously earning my degree, I started my design career by being a part of a small but mighty marketing team of four, working to create a whole department brand from the ground up. Alongside my three peers, I led the development of multiple brand systems, event promotion campaigns, and even got a couple of start-up websites going.

After receiving my BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Central Oklahoma, I joined a large HR corporation where I developed my UI design skills. My knowledge of design systems, usability, accessibility protocols, and responsive web design expanded daily being a part of that work. This continued as I joined the Ameriprise Financial digital experience team. Currently being a part of that team, I am honing my skills further, learning even more about component library management, pitching enhancements to multiple business partners, and expanding complex branding systems across multiple financial acquisitions.

My next goals are to learn more about different coding languages, gain even more UX principle knowledge, and take a break to hike up a mountain peak or two.
