Role and Responsibilities

Adaptation: Led the adaptation of future design components for mobile applications, within given constraints efficiently utilizing existing navigation elements like chevrons, carousels, and section pagination.

Responsive Breakpoints: To ensure a functional mobile experience while developing adaptive mobile components, I created breakpoints for desktop, tablet, and mobile formats. Given the low usership of the company's mobile site, I was recommended to prioritize resources to the desktop version first.

Review: Conducted a thorough evaluation of the advisor site, in collaboration with product owners and business partners ensuring text components remained valuable when streamlining content. Introduced expandable sections where needed and worked with design partners through an iterative review process to align with the advisor site redesign.

Design Enhancements

Reformatting: Designed mobile components with a standard width of 390px, collaborating with product owners and stakeholders to determine key information for condensation or migration to expandable elements, aiming to enhance the user experience on smaller screens.

Development: Maintained an open dialogue with the development team to align on feasibility and timelines for proposed changes. The development process involves phased component releases, with ongoing adjustments based on feedback to ensure synchronization with the desktop site redesign and introducing specialized components for other formats.

Impact

Intended Outcomes: Achieving a cohesive look and feel between desktop and mobile screens, significantly enhancing content accessibility for mobile users. This approach aims to attract new users and convert them into clients by delivering a compelling, user-friendly experience that complements the desktop site.
